Nightmare of Battle, MMA Weekly, and Bloody Elbow all combine to give us the information that top ranked 155er Takanori Gomi could take on IFL expatriate Chris Horodecki. Gomi could really use this fight (and a win) considering that he's fought twice in the last year and a half, and one of the fights was a textbook submission loss to Nick Diaz. Gomi has looked impressive since, running through Duane Ludwig, but if he wishes to keep his status on many polls as a #1 or #2, he needs to start racking up the quality wins. Horodecki would definitely qualify as a quality win. Meanwhile, Horodecki also got "BACK on the right TRACK" (ten points if you can identify the reference) with a win over Jake Lamotte. Previous to that bout, he had been knocked out by Ryan Schultz at a year's end event. In short, both fighters need this one.
