Tim Sylvia: "I Can Beat Any Heavyweight Boxer."

Bloody Elbow has the scoop on this delightful little story about Tim Sylvia claiming he could beat any heavyweight boxer. In case you needed another reason to dislike Tim, here it is.

"If the money is right, I would love to do a boxing match," Sylvia said. "I believe I can beat any heavyweight boxer out there ... I will fight any heavyweight boxer in 12, 3-minute rounds and I will beat him. I'm confident in my stand up and confident in my boxing coach."

I would comment, but this is just too easy. Anyone else want to take this? Anyone? Bueller?

I think you guys are overlooking how dismal the heavyweight division is right now. Klitchko knocked out the biggest choker in Thompson last night, and there really isn't anyone else Tim would have big problems with.

I'm with JSTR...granted some of the best strikers in MMA wouldn't do well in a straight up boxing match....its the HW division.

Even if Tim could win, the "someone" would pay him off to get beat.. Can't have boxing look as thought it does not have any credibility now can we?

I like Tim Sylvia, but not for the reasons most do. I think in my humble opinion that he is really a middle of the road fighter. But what I like is that he usually asks for all that he gets. I don't think he even understands who he is fighting saturday night. He's so busy talking about himself that quietly a monster is about to unleash himself on him. Get the guerney ready. Sorry Tim, but if you ask for it, you will get it.
