WWE Rips On UFC 91
MMA Frenzy has the scoop that :

The latest report from Dave Meltzer’s F4WOnline notes a WWE article (that has apparently been taken down now) which goes out of its way to specifically bash the UFC 91 undercard despite it proving to be one of the most exciting cards to date:

“…Many of the fights on the UFC PPV ended in the first round leaving UFC producers scrambling to fill the three-hour event with content. The dearth off hearty competition left many viewers to watch less prestigious undercard fights and only served to bolster claims that UFC pay per view events can often be a `crap shoot’ in regards to filling the full three hours.”

One can only wonder if the person who wrote that piece even bothered to watch the fights, or has any knowledge of MMA whatsoever. Sadly, it is this type of rhetoric which fuels the fire between MMA and WWE purists, when really a mutual respect is all either party should be working towards. The WWE article even slipped in a jab about Brock Lesnar for “taking advantage of the encouragement of the WWE Universe and all the hard lessons he learned in WWE for his win.”

Yeah, that makes sense. Way to be mature about a former employee finding success in another industry, WWE.

I'm not defending or agreeing with the guy but the fights were short even thought there was some great knock outs. The title fight in my mind didn't reach all the hype as the "greatest fight in mma history" in fact far from.
I guess the writer is referring to the ufc 90 card where the $750 dollars seats were expecting to see a fight instead of someone twisting his knee without being touched.
Yes some cards are better then other that is for sure the next two on paper are defiantly the most exciting so far and depending who they put on with Penn and GSP that one could be the best of all.

Who gives a fuck how short or how long the fights were...I was there and nobody was complaining...the undercard was tits!!! fights were short but bad ass. the UFC doesn't tell their fighters to only stand up and the UFC doesn't script bullshit matches with plain bad character actors...wake up WWE...a lot of us that used to watch you were only waiting for the next big thing...the UFC is here to stay now so is the army of fans they have. Old School MMA fans like me and a lot of others here are only mildly amused by your half witted review...hell, if you want to hire me, I'll review the MMA cards...I'm sure I have at least half a brain...that's about half more than the lame brains that write for the WWE now...

I wish the UFC would stop milking the prelims for the almighty dollar. You have to go to their website and pay $$$$ to watch the first 5 fights of every PPV.They should let us watch all 10 fights for the $50 bucks we pay. Only 5 fights. That's $10 bucks a fight. I'd much rather see 10 or 11 fights for my $50 bucks! WTF??????
